Today was the Springtime 10k, the largest race in Tallahassee. We had about 2000 people run this year.  I was convinced to run by some of the people I train with here. They needed one more person on their team.  I had two goals: finish, and don't do anything dumb.

I went out in 7:15 pace, which was dumb.  But I was able to hold a respectable pace and finish in about 46 minutes. I forget my time and didn't wear a watch.  I am pretty happy... this was my longest run in 2010! Hopefully I will have time to keep building on the little base that I have.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Congratulations, sounds like you did awesome. How is the job hunting going? Are you done with school now?

I hear you with the tough time constraints! I find the weekend is the only time to get any quality type runs in!

Congrats on getting back out there... you've still got a good springboard from which to rebuild that base, and before you know it, you'll be flying through the races again...
